Recent Academic Highlights:

  • The Prime Minister’s Scholarship: In 2023, two Marist Commerce graduates were awarded this prestigious scholarship to pursue trade internships in Singapore and Tokyo.
  • NZQA Scholarship Distinction: Our Senior School consistently ranks in the top tier of Wellington schools for Scholarship attainment, specifically in the Visual Arts and Calculus streams.
  • Best Student Game Design: A team of third-year Computer Science and Design students took home the “Audience Choice Award” at the New Zealand Game Developers Conference (NZGDC) for their educational VR project.

Alumni Stories

  • James Liu (Class of 2018): After graduating with a Bachelor of Computer Science, James is now a Senior Systems Architect at Xero. He credits the “hands-on” internship programme at Marist for his rapid career progression.
  • Aroha Kerapa (Class of 2020): A graduate of our Design faculty, Aroha now works at Weta FX. Her final year portfolio piece was scouted by recruiters during the annual Marist Graduate Exhibition.
  • Dr. Emily Chen: Former Head Girl of our Senior School, Emily went on to complete her PhD at Oxford University and has returned to New Zealand to lead policy research at the Ministry of Education.
